The Octagon Memorial Plaque has the presence of a framed portrait and the permanence of stone. Its eight clean edges and polished bevel give a portrait, a name and a favourite verse a formal, dignified setting, cut from polished jet black granite and custom engraved with their photograph and the words you want to keep.

Granite holds an engraving with remarkable detail. A photograph comes through with soft, lifelike tone, and lettering stays crisp for generations, indoors or out. Display it on a shelf or mantel, or set it into a monument of any colour as a portrait panel. Three sizes run from a postcard to a sheet of letter paper.

Every plaque is engraved to order. Upload your favourite photo, tell us the name, the dates and the words you would like, and we will send a proof before anything is engraved.

How it works

Three gentle steps

  1. A daughter at the kitchen table holding a phone that shows a photo of her smiling white-haired father above an Upload button

    1. Upload your photo

Choose a size, add their name, dates and words, and upload your favorite photo of them. Then place your order.

  2. A laptop on a desk showing the design proof of a black granite heart memorial tile engraved with a man’s portrait above an Approved button

    2. Approve your proof

Within two business days we email a proof of the engraving. Ask for as many changes as you need; if we hear nothing within 48 hours we take it as approved.

  3. The finished engraved black granite heart memorial tile on a small red easel on a white mantel beside a lit candle, a white ranunculus and a framed family photo

    3. Cherish them forever

Your pre-order is engraved and shipped within 5–6 weeks of your approval, with tracking by email; Rush Production puts it first in line. Place it where they always were.
